Our Current Study Program

On June 5, 2021, we began a study program on the Sermon on the Mount, using Part 3 of The Thunder of Silence.  Joel called the Sermon on the Mount “the greatest message ever given to the world,” and Chapters 10 through 19 of The Thunder of Silence, present Joel’s revelations on it.

During this study program, we will hear eight of the recordings that provided source material for Part 3 of The Thunder of Silence, which means that the study program will go for four months.  Over the course of the program, we suggest that at your own pace, you:

  • Read and contemplate the Sermon on the Mount, which is given in the Gospel of Matthew, Chapters 5, 6, and 7.
  • Read Chapters 10 – 19 in The Thunder of Silence.

The recordings we play in our study sessions will complement your individual study.  We will hear the recordings in their chronological sequence so that we can see how the message evolved over time as Joel integrated the revelations that came to him.  However, the chronological order of the recordings does not match the order of the chapters, so the recordings will primarily be an anchor around which individual study can take place.

General Schedule Information

The Online Tape Group meets on the first four Saturdays of every month. We meet at different times on alternate Saturdays in order to serve the various time zones around the world. Participants can join the meetings by using a computer, a telephone, or a mobile device.

On the first and third Saturdays of each month, the group meets at 8:00 a.m. U.S. Pacific Time. This provides access at convenient times from North America eastward across South America, Europe, Africa and the Middle East.

On the second and fourth Saturdays of each month, the group meets at 6:00 p.m. U.S. Pacific Time. This provides access to the tape group at convenient times from North America westward across the Pacific to Australia, New Zealand and Asia.

We will play the same tape for two consecutive weeks so that both time zone groups can hear it. In other words, the tape that we play on the first Saturday at 8:00 a.m. will be played again on the second Saturday at 6:00 p.m. The tape that we play on the third Saturday at 8:00 a.m. will be repeated on the fourth Saturday at 6:00 p.m.

When a month has five Saturdays, we do not proceed with our regular study program on the fifth Saturday, but may schedule special sessions and hear recordings relating to a current holiday or to another timely topic. If we hold sessions on the fifth Saturday, we hold them at both 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., so that participants in all time zones can hear the recording.  We post the schedule for these special sessions well in advance.
