Schedule

  • General schedule information is given at the end of this page.
  • PLEASE NOTE UPCOMING TIME CHANGES:  Over the coming weeks there will be time changes across the northern and southern hemispheres.  While some places in the tropics do not change time, the changes in the U.S. will affect the time when participants from those areas join the online tape group meetings.  The mainland United States returns to standard time on Sunday, November 5, 2019.  For your convenience, we have prepared a time zone conversion table for the coming weeks when these time zone changes will take place.

“Spiritual Healing”

With this class, we are moving into the part of our “About Body” study program that deals with spiritual healing.  Many, of us have at one time or another sought spiritual healing help for a physical claim.  This class and others that will follow it in our study program, will help us learn more about how to handle physical claims for ourselves or others.

In this class, Joel provides answers to questions about the body.   Some are questions directly asked by students, and others are just questions that we might have that are answered in the course of the class:

*  Can the mind produce disease in the body?
*  Please clarify the use of the words “real” and “unreal” with respect to healing work.  What does it mean to say that disease is not real?
*  Why are there not more ministers, rabbis, and priests doing healing work?
*  In The Infinite Way, why do we call a disease a “claim” or an “appearance” or a “belief”?
*  How does a practitioner heal, and what are the principles I must know about healing?

This class was used as source material for several chapters in the writings:

*  Chapter 4, “The Language of Spiritual Healing” in The Art of Spiritual Healing
*
Chapter 9, “The Mystic and Healing” in Awakening Mystical Consciousness
Chapter 5, “Love Thy Neighbor” in Practicing the Presence.

Date:  September 28, 2019

Our Current Study Program

On July 6, we began a study program on the topic of the body.   In one of his classes, Joel said, “Now then, the moment we realize that I am life eternal; that I am pure spirit, pure consciousness, we come to the next great thing: What about this body?  And there we find the mystery that has heretofore not been explained.”   In another class, he addresses the same persistent question:  “What about this body?  How does it fit into a spiritual universe?  Is this material body the Word made flesh?  Does the material body manifest God?”  And again, The question has come up more and more and more:  “What about this body?  This body bothers me.  What about this body?”

In this series of ten recordings,  Joel addresses the intriguing question of body.   We look forward to sharing these enlightening classes with you.

General Schedule Information

The Online Tape Group meets on the first four Saturdays of every month. We meet at different times on alternate Saturdays in order to serve the various time zones around the world. Participants can join the meetings by using a computer, a telephone, or a mobile device.

On the first and third Saturdays of each month, the group meets at 8:00 a.m. U.S. Pacific Time. This provides access at convenient times from North America eastward across South America, Europe, Africa and the Middle East.

On the second and fourth Saturdays of each month, the group meets at 6:00 p.m. U.S. Pacific Time. This provides access to the tape group at convenient times from North America westward across the Pacific to Australia, New Zealand and Asia.

We will play the same tape for two consecutive weeks so that both time zone groups can hear it. In other words, the tape that we play on the first Saturday at 8:00 a.m. will be played again on the second Saturday at 6:00 p.m. The tape that we play on the third Saturday at 8:00 a.m. will be repeated on the fourth Saturday at 6:00 p.m.

When a month has five Saturdays, we do not proceed with our regular study program on the fifth Saturday, but may schedule special sessions and hear recordings relating to a current holiday or to another timely topic. If we hold sessions on the fifth Saturday, we hold them at both 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., so that participants in all time zones can hear the recording.  We post the schedule for these special sessions well in advance.
