Recording 243A: 1959 Maui Advanced Work
“Not Power – But Grace”
This class is the basis for Chapter 1, “The New Life by Grace,” in Our Spiritual Resources.

Speaking about this chapter in Our Spiritual Resources, Joel said, “In the first chapter, “A New Life by Grace,” I found a treasure which is really the essence of all spiritual living. To grasp the principle set forth in that chapter is to live in the ever-presence of God’s grace, operating and functioning now. It is not that anything we do makes this Grace operative in our experience, but that, as we surrender our will and desires and become inwardly still, we become aware of that Grace which is forever in operation. Any student who would live with that first chapter for a month or a year would find the new life by Grace his own experience.

General Schedule Information

The Online Tape Group meets on the first four Saturdays of every month. We meet at different times on alternate Saturdays in order to serve the various time zones around the world. Participants can join the meetings by using a computer, a telephone, or a mobile device.

On the first and third Saturdays of each month, the group meets at 8:00 a.m. U.S. Pacific Time. This provides access at convenient times from North America eastward across South America, Europe, Africa and the Middle East.

On the second and fourth Saturdays of each month, the group meets at 6:00 p.m. U.S. Pacific Time. This provides access to the tape group at convenient times from North America westward across the Pacific to Australia, New Zealand and Asia.

We will play the same tape for two consecutive weeks so that both time zone groups can hear it. In other words, the tape that we play on the first Saturday at 8:00 a.m. will be played again on the second Saturday at 6:00 p.m. The tape that we play on the third Saturday at 8:00 a.m. will be repeated on the fourth Saturday at 6:00 p.m.

When a month has five Saturdays, we do not proceed with our regular study program on the fifth Saturday, but may schedule special sessions and hear recordings relating to a current holiday or to another timely topic. If we hold sessions on the fifth Saturday, we hold them at both 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., so that participants in all time zones can hear the recording.  We post the schedule for these special sessions well in advance.
