For Contemplation

From Chapter 12, “The Power and Dominion” in Living Between Two Worlds

“Do you see that there are two worlds: the world of ‘My kingdom’ and the world in which you look out and see male and female, young and old, sick and well, the world in which you sit in judgment on the appearances of the world?  But you must always bear in mind that there are not really two worlds: there is only one, the world that God created.  There really is no such thing as an unreal world or counterfeit world.  There is only one world, and this world is that world.

“We entertain a false concept about this magnificent world, so that we become aware of hatred, bias, bigotry, envy, jealousy, malice, disease, sin, fear, and man’s inhumanity to man.  Because we are judging by appearances, because we are seeing through finite sense, we say, ‘What a terrible world!’  And yet there is no such world because God created all that was created, and all that God created is good.”

For Listening

Recording 552B: 1964 Portland Special Class, “Between Two Worlds – I Stand at the Door”

This recording is one of two used as source material for Chapter 12, “The Power and Dominion,” in Living Between Two Worlds.

In this class session, Joel takes us deep into the understanding that we create our own world and teaches us how to assert our dominion and live as the divine being that we are. One key factor is recognizing our own spiritual identity as well as the spiritual identity of every individual, regardless of how they appear humanly.

If ever there was a time when it was imperative to stay tuned to Channel 1 by recognizing the spiritual identity of every individual, it is now.  While the human scene appears to be rife with personal conflict, polarization, and trauma, we can apply the soothing, transforming balm of spiritual recognition. As Joel says in the class:

“So, when I say to you that we create our own world, this is the way in which we do it. If we want to insist on seeing each other as man of earth, as mortal man, some good, some bad, some well, some sick, then that is the world that we are creating for ourselves. But, if we have been granted any degree of spiritual discernment so that we can behold the I of every individual and receive it into our consciousness, acknowledge it, welcome it, bless it, then we transform our world.”
